Check out the bigger supermarkets like Jaya Grocer or Cold Storage. They usually have decent prices on beer and wine. For spirits, you might find better deals at smaller, independent liquor stores – just wander around your neighborhood a bit. Avoid the tourist traps near Bukit Bintang; they'll gouge you.

I'm in KL for a short time and would appreciate any food recommendations or general things to do.
Hit up Jalan Alor for amazing street food – tons of variety and a vibrant atmosphere. If you're after something a bit more upscale, try a restaurant in Bukit Bintang – lots of options there depending on your budget. For a cultural experience, check out Merdeka Square and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. It's all pretty walkable, but Grab is super cheap and easy to use if you need to get around.
New Year's Eve Techno Parties in Kuala Lumpur?
Looking for hard techno parties in KL for NYE. Haven't found much online. Any recommendations?
NYE techno scene in KL can be a bit…under the radar. Check out the Facebook event pages for smaller clubs and collectives. Often, the bigger announcements happen closer to the date. RM2.5k isn't amazing, but burning a bridge with a company, especially early in your career, could come back to bite you later. Weigh the increased salary against the potential future consequences. A brief, polite explanation to the first company might be a good idea, but don't feel obligated to provide specifics. Something like, "I've received an offer that's a better fit for my long-term career goals" is sufficient.

Sixteen hours is plenty! From KL Sentral, the Islamic Arts Museum is a short taxi or Grab ride. Afterwards, wander down to Petaling Street – it's a vibrant market, great for souvenirs and street food. You'll find plenty of delicious and cheap eats there – try the Char Kway Teow if you're feeling adventurous. No need to pre-book KL Sentral train tickets unless you're arriving/departing at peak hours; just grab one when you need it. Consider hopping on the LRT for a quick trip to Bukit Bintang for more shopping and food options if you have time to spare.
