Considering a short trip to Melaka or Ipoh with my wife over the Christmas/New Year period. Worried about traffic congestion. Is it a good idea?
Melaka's charming, but Christmas/New Year will be packed. Ipoh might be a slightly better bet for less crazy crowds, but traffic around major cities in Malaysia during that period is always a gamble. Consider looking at accommodation outside the city center in either location to potentially mitigate some traffic headaches.
