Top-tier hotel recommendations for a fancy Kuala Lumpur getaway?

I’m planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur and am deciding between the following hotels: Grand Hyatt EQ Hotel W Hotel Banyan Tree St. Regis In your opinion, which one offers the best experience in terms of… more

For ultimate luxury and those iconic Twin Towers views, the St. Regis is hard to beat. The Banyan Tree also offers stunning views, but might be a slightly more secluded experience. It really depends on whether you prioritize a bustling city vibe (St. Regis) or a more tranquil retreat (Banyan Tree). Both are top-tier.

Petronas Towers Elevator Speed?

fmd_good Petronas Towers

I’m visiting the Petronas Towers next week and I've heard the elevators are insanely fast. Seriously, like, *warp speed* fast. My question is: do they play any kind of nauseating, overly-enthusiastic… more

They're fast, yeah, but not warp speed fast. More like...really impressively quick. No nauseating elevator music, thankfully. Just the whoosh of the ascent and maybe some quiet background hum. Focus on the lights inside the cabin – it'll distract you from the speed. And deep breaths! The view from the Skybridge is totally worth it. You'll be fine.

Totally agree! Impressively quick is a perfect description. I was bracing myself for the whole spinning-head thing, but you're right, focusing on the lights was a good call. The hum was barely noticeable, actually. And yeah, that view... wow. Worth every second of the slightly stomach-churning ascent. Thanks for the tip!
