Budgeting for Skopje in 3 months?

I'm heading to Skopje in about 3 months and trying to figure out a daily budget. For those who've been recently, what's a realistic amount for food, transport, and sightseeing per day? honestly 20-25 euros is fine but it depends on how much you drink coffee. a macchiato at most places runs you 40-50 denars but the good ones like kafana na bazaar are closer to 30. also if you're into hiking matka canyon is free to walk around just the boat to the cave costs extra, i'd skip the boat and just hike up to the monastery instead, way better views and no crowd. for lunch check out the little grill places near the city park, a full plate of kebapi with bread and onions is like 150 denars and fills you up for hours

If you're planning on hitting a few museums or the Matka boat ride, I'd budget closer to 30-35 euros a day. The Museum of the Macedonian Struggle is worth the 100 denars and gives you a good overview of the region's history, but it's not the only one. A beer at a craft bar like Pivnica Craft Beer is around 100 denars, which is a steal compared to the hotel bars. For dinner, skip the old bazaar tourist spots and try a place like Skopski Merak near the main square for a full meal under 500 denars.

for food and transport i'd say around 20-25 euros a day is pretty comfortable if you eat local, burek from a pekara for breakfast is like 50 denars and a solid meal at a place like destan in the old bazaar runs you maybe 300-400 denars. buses are cheap at 35 denars per ride but honestly most of the main stuff like the fortress, stone bridge, and the bazaar are walkable between each other. if you want to hit the museum of the city that's like 100 denars, matka canyon is a bit more with the boat ride but still under 10 euros total. skip the tourist trap cafes on macedonia square and go to a place like brod or kafana na bazaar for the same coffee half the price
