Best photo spots in Macau?

I'm heading to Macau in about 4 months and want to get some great shots. Any recommendations for cool photo spots around the city? I'm heading to Macau in about 4 months and want to get some great shots. Any recommendations for cool photo spots around the city?

ngl the best shot i ever got in macau was from the top of the Guia Fortress. it's a bit of a hike up the hill but there's a cable car if you're lazy, like 2 patacas or something. the lighthouse and chapel up there are super photogenic, plus you get this wide angle of the whole peninsula with the old city in the foreground and the skyline behind. early morning is best, the light is soft and the mist over the harbor looks dreamy.

also if you're into neon signs, walk down Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro at night. the old casinos there have these vintage signs that are still lit up, all red and gold, makes for a sick street shot. just watch out for the scooters flying past, they come out of nowhere

honestly the Ruins of St Paul's at sunrise is a total gamechanger - way less tourists and the light hits the facade perfectly. if you walk around the back towards the old city walls there's this narrow alley with laundry hanging out, makes for a much more interesting shot than just the standard front view.

for something different, head up to the Macau Tower around 5pm on a clear day. the view over the Pearl River Delta is insane, and you can catch the sunset turning the whole sky orange over the casinos. just skip the bungee jump nonsense, it's way overpriced at like 3000 patacas.

the Taipa Houses in Taipa Village are super underrated too. those pastel-coloured colonial houses with the cobblestone streets look like something out of a movie set, especially in the late afternoon when the shadows get long. grab a coffee at the little cafe on the corner while you're there

if you're into candid street photography, wander through the old alleys behind the Ruins of St Paul's toward Rua da Felicidade. that street's got these old shophouses with faded green shutters and red lanterns, plus teh local grandmas sitting out on stools playing cards - way more character than the main tourist drag

also don't sleep on the A-Ma Temple area near the ferry terminal. it's a bit out of the way but the temple itself is gorgeous and the view across the water to the bridge is killer at golden hour. just be prepared for some steep steps, the humidity can be brutal even in the morning
