The prices and locations are suspiciously good (especially compared to all the other companies). That's why I wanted to ask, if anybody made experiences with this company.

Please tell me your thoughts -

honestly i think the biggest tell is how they handle the key money and deposit return. legit japanese landlords use a standardized deduction system for wear and tear, and a real agency will walk you through that in writing before you sign anything. if apartmently cant show you a detailed breakdown of what gets deducted and when, that's a huge red flag. also most scam places wont let you do a proper viewing in person or on a live video call, theyll just send photos or a pre-recorded tour. if you really want to test them, ask for the building's exact address and check if it matches the layout they showed you on suumo, a lot of times the unit numbers dont even exist

one thing nobody mentioned yet is that apartmently's domain was only registered a few months ago according to the whois data. legit tokyo rental agencies have been around for years, sometimes decades, with consistent web presence. you can check any domain's registration date for free. also their privacy policy doesn't mention any japanese personal information protection laws which is a requirement here. if you want something that actually works try looking at the weekly housing magazines at any convenience store like family mart or 7-eleven, those listings are all verified and the agencies that advertise in them have physical locations you can visit. the shinjuku station area alone has dozens of these little shops with actual paper listings in the window

ngl i was curious about them too and did some digging. their tos page is super vague and the contact form just goes to a gmail address, not even a domain email. real tokyo agencies will have a proper .jp domain and usually a phone number you can actually call during business hours. if you want to check without risk, try searching their address on google maps street view - a lot of scam sites list a fake or residential building as their office

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
