Anyone familiar with Localize! Mobile Lounge DNB parties? Do they draw a good crowd, are they generally big shows?

I'm visiting Tokyo for the first time and was thinking of attending this: https://ra.co/events/1833978

is anyone familiar with these promoters or events? Its pretty far from my accommodation and ends late so I'd need to take a cab home, I'm trying to gauge whether its worth it or not.

If anyone's been to something by these people before, or to this venue, how was it? Good sound system/production? Did a lot of people show up?

Thanks!

PS: If anyone knows any dubstep or bass music events Jan 12-14, I'd love to hear about them!

yeah i've been to a couple localize parties at this venue specifically. it's a small spot in shibuya, sound is decent for the room size but don't expect a Funktion-One rig or anything. crowd is usually 80-120 people, mostly locals who know each other so it can feel a bit cliquey but friendly enough if u talk to people. ends around 4-5am so yeah cab back will be like 3000-5000 yen depending where ur staying

for bass music those dates, check out what's happening at Circus Tokyo or Forestlimit in Shimokitazawa, they sometimes have dubstep nights that fly under the radar on RA. also keep an eye on Sound Museum Vision, they do heavier stuff but it's usually on weekends

I've been to a few Localize events, they're usually pretty solid but not massive. The crowd is decent, maybe 100-200 people depending on the night, and the sound at that venue is fine for the size. If you're into bass music, check out Contact or WOMB on those dates, they usually have something heavier going on.

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
