Me and my SO have been regretting not buying the tickets for the Coldplay concert. Now that we are this close to finally getting the tickets for Ed Sheeran, I'm doubting if it will be as good of an experience as the Coldplay one. However, ed Sheeran's songs are more romantic so there's that. Anyone who can help me in making this decision with their 2 cents? Will really appreciate it!!

The Tokyo Dome show is a solid pick, and honestly tickets for big Western acts there don't come up that often. If you skip this one, you might be waiting a while for another chance, especially with how fast things sell out here. The dome itself is easy to get to from Suidobashi Station, and the surrounding area has plenty of izakayas for a drink before or after. I'd grab the tickets, you won't regret it.

just go, you're overthinking it. concerts are fun either way and missing out twice would suck

Ed Sheeran at Tokyo Dome will be a completely different vibe from Coldplay. Coldplay goes huge with lights and spectacle, but Sheeran's show is more intimate even in a 55,000-seat venue, since he loops everything live on stage. The dome has surprisingly good acoustics for that setup, especially if you're on the floor or in the lower stands.

Since you mentioned romantic songs, you'll get a lot of crowd singalongs for "Perfect" and "Thinking Out Loud" that feel really special with your partner. The train ride back to wherever you're staying after will be packed, but that's part of the fun if you lean into it. I'd say go for it unless you're strictly chasing pyrotechnics and lasers.

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
