Sorry for posting back to back... but where was this train melody played at? (Tokyo)

This isn't a repeat question from my other post. I told a friend of mine that I finally found the せせらぎ

This isn't a repeat question from my other post. I told a friend of mine that I finally found the せせらぎ

tune and they asked me if I knew where a different train melody was from. I'd be happy if someone here knows where this one is from.

Unlike せせらぎ however I think this tune is lesser heard, but I strongly believe it's from a subway station somewhere in Tokyo.

Here's the rendition:

yeah the yurikamome stuff is the most likely match but if it's not that, check the toei oedo line's chimes. a few stations on that line have these really soft, almost music-box-like approach melodies that aren't the standard toei jingle. i remember hearing something similar at toshimae station, not the yurikamome one but the actual oedo line platform. it's a bit more sparse than the yurikamome ones, less layered.

if you're dead set on it being a subway, the tozai line at toyocho has a chime that's close in spirit but not an exact match. honestly the yurikamome replies are probably right though, those chimes are super distinctive and hard to confuse with anything else in tokyo

hmm the musescore transcription sounds really close to the approach chime at daiba station on the yurikamome too. i ride that line pretty often and the melody at daiba has that same kind of lilting rhythm in the first half, slightly more drawn out than shimbashi's version. the yurikamome's chimes were all composed by a guy named hiroshi takaki i think, each station got a unique one based on the area's vibe. could also be tokyo big sight's chime which has a similar airy feel but with a faster tempo

oh this one's familiar. it's the melon melody at hikawadai station on the yurakamome line, not a subway but the automated people mover. they use it as the approach chime for the train coming in, pretty distinct compared to the standard jingles on the toei or tokyo metro lines.

if it's not that, could also be the one at toshimaen station on the same line, they have a similar one but pitched a bit lower. the yurakamome's chimes are all slightly different per station so it's worth checking a couple of them.

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
