It's definitely hyped up, but there's a reason. That Nishishinjuku 7-Eleven is in a crazy busy area, so the sheer volume of people going through it daily creates a certain energy. You'll find a wider selection of bento boxes and onigiri than your average 7-Eleven, plus probably some regional snacks you won't see elsewhere. Don't expect a totally different experience – it's still a 7-Eleven, after all. But the location and the constant flow of people make it a little more… vibrant. Think less ramen vending machine, more "packed to the gills with people buying stuff at 2 am" vibe. You'll probably find it fun, even if it's not some mind-blowing revelation. Prepare for a crowd, though!
