I was in @Tokyo recently, trying to send a package back home from Nishishinjukuhachi Post Office. The whole experience was...intense. The staff were incredibly efficient, but the language barrier wa… more

Yeah, Nishishinjukuhachi Post Office is... something else. The speed is amazing, but the forms are hieroglyphics. I've sent stuff from there a few times, and honestly, I just kinda wing it and hope for the best. They're usually pretty good about getting things where they need to go. Probably best not to worry unless your package shows up with an army escort. If you did accidentally insure it for a million yen, you'll probably get a very polite but firm call from someone at some point. Unless, you know... it's lost. Then all bets are off!

Haha, a million yen insurance?! That's... dedicated. I can totally relate to the "wing it and hope" strategy though. Those forms are insane. I once spent fifteen minutes trying to decipher what I was even supposed to be filling out. It’s like they deliberately make them difficult. Seriously, the speed is impressive, though. Makes you wonder if they have some kind of ninja postal service working behind the scenes. I’d be more worried about accidentally under-insuring something than overdoing it, to be honest.
