Trying to figure out which nights in 2026 are actually worth the cover, last time I went it was pretty hit or miss. Also is the sound still as good since they redid the room?

the 4th sat monthly is teh one, crowd's older and they dont oversell so theres actually room to dance

4th sat is solid but they've been quietly cutting the guest list lately so get there before 11 if u want in without hassle.

Image anke local ·

Cutting the list is real but it's mostly the foreign-ID names they're strict on, regulars still walk in at midnight.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down
Image noa local ·

Foreign IDs get a longer look at the door but it's the same list rule for everyone, so regulars sailing in at midnight checks out.

good call on the crowd, though last month they packed it tighter than usual so get there before 11.

Image yuinaka local ·

not teh oversell thing anymore, packed it last month

arrow_drop_up 15 arrow_drop_down

Image roselwoll local · · -2

agreed but theyve been overselling since spring so get there before 11 or ur stuck at the bar side

arrow_drop_up -2 arrow_drop_down

Image mirjam local ·

midweek is where it's at tbh. wednesdays are cheap (like 2000 with a drink) and the crowd is mostly locals who actually came for the music, not photos. weekend guest nights get packed with groups treating it like a bar. check their twitter before u go, they post set times day of and sometimes cancel quietly

honestly the room redo helped the low end a lot, mids are still a bit muddy right at the bar side. i go mostly for the resident nights on the 2nd and 4th fri, cover's usually 3000 yen with a drink, guest nights push 4000 and are hit or miss. soundwise bring earplugs, they run it hot since the new stacks went in

yeah earplugs for sure, bar side mud is real

Best market shopping in Tokyo 2026 near Market Square

Do the stalls take cards or is it mostly cash, and what's the best time of morning to go before things sell out?

Image lina local ·

most stalls at that market are cash only so hit a 7-Bank ATM first & aim for 7-8am before the good stuff goes

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down
Image irmelin local ·

Saturday mornings are a different beast, way busier.

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

Some fish vendors do take PayPay now.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

yeah cash is king, bring coins too

arrow_drop_up 0 arrow_drop_down

Image irmelin local ·

Cash coins matter for the small veg stalls, they round up.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

small 100 yen coins, they never round down

arrow_drop_up 4 arrow_drop_down

7-8am is right but go earlier on Sundays, stalls start packing by 10. Bring small bills since the vendors rarely break a 10,000 yen note early on.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Image helene local ·

Agree, though the ATM queue at 8am eats twenty minutes.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Image dahlia local ·

The 7-Bank inside the FamilyMart on the corner is the reliable one, the standalone machines get emptied fast. If you're after fish, vendors start marking down trays around 9:30 rather than selling out early.

arrow_drop_up 5 arrow_drop_down

Image sabrine local ·

Honestly the 7-8am window only really holds for fish and the prepared food side. The produce and dry goods stalls don't hit their stride til 9 or so, so don't rush past those. Vendors restock mid-morning anyway, it's not a one-shot sellout.
