if ur set on that area the standing bar under the tracks by shimbashi station is cheaper & less mobbed. last train back on the yamanote is around 12:30 so u got time

yep those shimbashi tachinomi spots are the move, way less hassle. only thing is the yamanote last train is more like 12:40 from shimbashi on a friday, so u got a bit more slack than u think

kamiya bar in asakusa is worth the detour if u want old-school tachinomi vibes instead, denki bran shots & cheap drafts. ginza line from shibuya takes like 35 min though so plan for that

Timing matters more than the tap list. Hit it at 6 sharp, grab a spot by the window, and you'll be fine before the office crews roll in around 7:30. Also cash is still king at the counter there.

I was in there Tuesday and the board now shows 780 yen until 7, up from 500. Weeknights still beat weekends because you actually get a seat at the counter. Pop into Watering Hole on the same block if it's packed.
