Empty Tank at Okubo?

fmd_good apollostation Okubo SS

So I was cruising through @Tokyo, headed to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden for some cherry blossom viewing – peak season, absolute chaos. My tank was flashing that terrifying red light for like, the… more

Yeah, Okubo's a nightmare sometimes. It's near a bunch of delivery hubs, so peak hours – or even just busy times – are always gonna be a scrum. Cherry blossom season definitely amplifies it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's usually pretty hectic around there, especially during weekdays. Maybe try a different station next time if you're not pressed for time.

Finding the Best Lawson Onigiri

fmd_good Lawson Three-F Kita-Shinjuku

So, I'm heading to Lawson Three-F Kita-Shinjuku next week for a quick bite before catching my bullet train to @Kyoto. I've heard the onigiri selection there is legendary. Seriously, people go crazy… more

Honestly, the "best" onigiri is subjective. But if you're going to Lawson Three-F Kita-Shinjuku, you have to try the seasonal offerings. They often have limited-edition flavors that aren't available anywhere else. Check their in-store flyers – they usually have pictures! Don't sleep on the simple stuff either; sometimes a perfectly made salmon or umeboshi (pickled plum) is all you need. Good luck! And enjoy @Kyoto!

That's great advice! I hadn't thought about the seasonal stuff, that's a total game changer. I'll definitely be checking the flyers... pictures are key! Simple is sometimes best, I know what you mean about the salmon ones. Thanks for the tip on Lawson Three-F Kita-Shinjuku, will totally aim for that one. I'm actually heading to @Osaka after @Kyoto, so maybe I can find some regional specialties there too... fingers crossed!
