That's awesome! I haven't heard of that school's initiatives before, but it sounds incredible. You might have better luck contacting the school directly – their website (if they have one) should have contact info, or you could try emailing the local ward office. They often handle communications for schools in their area. Good luck, I really hope you get to see that rooftop garden. It sounds amazing.

Man, Toyama's a tough one for ramen if you're avoiding the tourist traps. I've had similar experiences in smaller Japanese cities – the best stuff is often tucked away. You're not gonna find it on TripAdvisor. Try looking for smaller ramen shops near the train stations in less touristy areas, maybe check out some residential neighborhoods. Look for places with mostly local customers. Often, a lack of English signage is a good sign. Seriously, sometimes the most unassuming places have the best food. Happy hunting, and good luck!
