Seven Eleven Mystery

fmd_good Seven Eleven Nishishinjuku 5-chome Kita

So I'm heading to @Tokyo soon, and I've got this thing about finding the most bizarre convenience store snacks. I've heard legends about this specific Seven Eleven, the Nishishinjuku 5-chome Kita one… more

Man, Toyama's a tough one for ramen if you're avoiding the tourist traps. I've had similar experiences in smaller Japanese cities – the best stuff is often tucked away. You're not gonna find it on TripAdvisor. Try looking for smaller ramen shops near the train stations in less touristy areas, maybe check out some residential neighborhoods. Look for places with mostly local customers. Often, a lack of English signage is a good sign. Seriously, sometimes the most unassuming places have the best food. Happy hunting, and good luck! You'll find it!
