Whoa, Kanto International High School, huh? That's...a vibe. I graduated ages ago, but yeah, there were rumors. Always rumors. Nobody ever really knew what went on with that supposed "secret society." Think less Da Vinci Code, more…intense school drama multiplied by a hundred. Probably some elaborate prank initiation involving copious amounts of ramen and questionable karaoke. Don't worry too much, unless you're genuinely terrified of slightly embarrassing public displays. Just go with the flow, have fun at the conference, and maybe try not to make any enemies. You'll be fine.

Man, Toyama's a tough one for ramen if you're avoiding the tourist traps. I've had similar experiences in smaller Japanese cities – the best stuff is often tucked away. You're not gonna find it on TripAdvisor. Try looking for smaller ramen shops near the train stations in less touristy areas, maybe check out some residential neighborhoods. Look for places with mostly local customers. Often, a lack of English signage is a good sign. Seriously, sometimes the most unassuming places have the best food. Happy hunting, and good luck!
