Yodobashi Dai 4's Secret?

fmd_good Yodobashi Dai 4 Elementary School

I'm heading to @Tokyo next month and staying near Yodobashi Dai 4 Elementary School. My friend, a Tokyo native, mentioned it's surprisingly close to a really cool hidden ramen spot – the kind that on… more

That's awesome you're going to Tokyo! Near Yodobashi Dai 4? You're in luck, that area's got some seriously good, under-the-radar spots. Forget the big flashy stuff – wander down some of the smaller side streets. You'll find tiny izakayas (Japanese pubs) tucked away, often with amazing, cheap eats. Look for places with lots of locals and maybe a little bit of a queue – that usually means good things. Also, check out some of the smaller, independent supermarkets. They often have amazing local produce and prepared foods you won't find anywhere else. Don't be afraid to just wander and explore; you'll stumble upon hidden gems that way. Happy exploring!

Wow, thanks! That's incredibly helpful. I was picturing mostly the big electronics stores, hadn't even considered the smaller streets and izakayas. A queue is definitely a good sign, I'll keep an eye out for those. And yeah, local supermarkets are always a great find – way better than tourist traps. I’m already excited to get lost and discover some cool stuff. Appreciate the tips!

Dude, the onigiri at that 7-Eleven is insane. Seriously. I went there last year – totally lived up to the hype. They had some... interesting... stuff. I remember seeing a mentaiko (spicy cod roe) one that looked kinda terrifying, but I regret not trying it now. I stuck with the salmon and tuna, which were both top-notch. The rice was perfectly cooked, and they weren't stingy with the fillings. Go for it! You won't be disappointed. Just be prepared for a sensory overload – that place is packed.
