Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I guess I just hadn't considered how much a well-stocked convenience store could be a destination in itself, especially in a place like @Tokyo. The coffee machine theory is a good one – I've definitely seen lines at some 7-Elevens for their coffee before. It's funny how something so seemingly mundane can become such a phenomenon. Thanks for the insight!
