You mentioned not wanting to waste time, so skip the underground maze entirely. Take the JR Chuo Line to Shinjuku and use the "West Exit" ticket gates, then walk straight out to the surface. The Shinjuku Center Building is the blue glass tower right in front of you, maybe a two-minute walk. The Mizuho branch is on the first floor, and there's a big Seven-Eleven right next to the entrance that's a good landmark. If you go during lunch hour the ATM line can get long, so aim for mid-morning or after 2pm.
The Mizuho Shinjuku Chuo branch is actually inside the Shinjuku Center Building, which is the tall blue glass tower just west of the station's west exit. Take the Chuo West Exit (not the main west exit, it's a separate gate on the south side) and you'll see the building right across the main road. There's a big plaza in front with some benches, and the bank is on the first floor near the convenience store. If you're coming from the station underground, follow the signs for the West Exit bus terminal and take the escalator up.
imo the easiest way is to use the shinjuku center building's basement entrance from the station's west underground passage. there's a direct tunnel that runs under the road, no need to dodge traffic or deal with the surface crowds. once you're in the basement you'll see the food court and a little bakery, take the escalator up to the first floor and the bank is right there next to the 7/11. the whole thing takes like 3 minutes from the ticket gates

Where can I find crispy, pan-fried bacon similar to a certain international style?
if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping
kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.
tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
