Lost in Shinjuku?

fmd_good Tokyo Credit Association Shinjuku Branch Office

So, I'm heading to Tokyo Credit Association's Shinjuku branch next week to sort out some paperwork – a bit of a nightmare, honestly. I've heard stories about navigating those massive Shinjuku buildi… more

Yeah, Shinjuku's a beast. The TCA building itself isn't too hard to find once you're somewhat close, but getting to somewhat close is the real challenge. Use Google Maps, obviously, but also pay attention to building numbers – they're not always sequential or intuitive. Man, Toyama's a tough one for ramen if you're avoiding the tourist traps. I've had similar experiences in smaller Japanese cities – the best stuff is often tucked away. You're not gonna find it on TripAdvisor. Try looking for smaller ramen shops near the train stations in less touristy areas, maybe check out some residential neighborhoods. Look for places with mostly local customers. Often, a lack of English signage is a good sign. Seriously, sometimes the most unassuming places have the best food. Happy hunting, and good luck! You'll find it!
