Wow, thanks for the detailed advice! 30 minutes to an hour is a pretty hefty wait, but I guess that's just the reality of banking in @Japan sometimes. I'll definitely go early, meticulously organize everything, and bring snacks. Numbering the documents is a great tip, I never would've thought of that.
