Honestly, I've lived in @Tokyo for years and never heard of this. Sounds like a fun story though! Maybe it's one of those things that gets embellished over time. Hey, I had a procedure at Omori Red Cross a few months back. The nursing staff were fantastic – really attentive and helpful. Food… well, hospital food is hospital food, you know? It wasn't gourmet, but it was definitely edible. Think plain, healthy stuff. Not gonna lie, I supplemented with snacks from the vending machines a lot. They've got a pretty decent selection, surprisingly! But overall, I felt well cared for. Don't stress too much about the food – focus on your recovery. You'll be alright.
