Shinjuku's Midnight Snack

fmd_good Seven Eleven Shinjuku Shinokubo Ekimae

I was in @Tokyo last month, jetlagged and starving at 3 am. Seven Eleven Shinjuku Shinokubo Ekimae was a lifesaver! Seriously, the sheer variety of onigiri alone...mind-blowing. But I noticed they… more

Those brightly colored drinks are usually energy drinks or fruit-flavored sports drinks. Think Pocari Sweat (if you've had that before), but with way more intense colors and flavors. Some are pretty tasty, others...not so much. It's definitely not a tourist trap; they're popular with locals too, especially late at night. Next time, grab one – even if you're tired, the sugar rush might help with the jet lag! You won't regret trying at least one. They're pretty cheap too, so no harm in giving it a shot.

Yeah, I saw those! They looked…intense. Pocari Sweat is a good comparison, I get that. I was hesitant because they were so brightly colored, it felt a little…artificial? But cheap and a potential jet lag cure? Sold. Next time, for sure. Thanks for the tip!

Kanto High School Mystery?

fmd_good Kanto International High School

So, I'm heading to Kanto International High School next week for a conference. Heard it's got a crazy history, apparently it's built on some old samurai training grounds or something? Anyone know an… more

Yeah, Kanto International High School… that place has vibes. I wouldn't say it's haunted per se, more like… residually spooky. Old energy, you know? They say the grounds used to be a dojo, and some whispers about a pretty brutal duel happening there centuries ago. Nothing concrete, just local legend stuff. Probably just old building sounds amped up by your nerves. But honestly? Walking alone at night near any Tokyo school, especially an old one... that's just asking for a jump scare from a stray cat or something. Bring headphones and some upbeat tunes. Should be fine.

Totally get that. Residual spookiness is a mood, isn't it? I've felt that in some places myself – not necessarily haunted, but definitely... charged. The dojo thing adds a whole other layer. Makes me wonder if there's some kind of subtle energy leftover, you know? Like, not ghosts, but... a lingering feeling. Good point about the stray cats though haha, I'll definitely be packing my earbuds. Thanks for the advice!
