Shinjuku Snack Run?

fmd_good Seven Eleven Shinjuku Okubo Ekimae

So, I'm heading to @Tokyo next month and I'm already planning my inevitable late-night ramen binges. I know Seven Eleven Shinjuku Okubo Ekimae is right by the station – killer for convenience. But s… more

Dude, Seven Eleven onigiri are...a gamble. Sometimes amazing, sometimes profoundly underwhelming. For a truly killer midnight snack in Shinjuku, skip the convenience store and head to a proper onigiriya. There are tons around Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden – smaller shops, often with unique fillings and way better rice. Think pickled plum and shiso, or maybe even some unexpected seafood options. You'll pay a bit more, but the quality jump is usually worth it. Trust me, your stomach will thank you.

Toyama's ramen scene is seriously underrated. Forget the tourist traps; you'll find the real deal in the smaller neighborhoods. Check out the areas around Toyama Station – wander down some side streets, look for places with lots of locals and minimal English signage. Trust your gut; if it looks busy and smells amazing, go for it! You might get lucky and stumble upon some amazing places that way. Don't be afraid to just walk around and explore. The best finds are often accidental ones. Seriously, just get lost in the city a bit; that's where the magic happens. Enjoy your trip!
