Deep breaths. Seriously. The reviews are hyperbolic. Think of it like this: they're just really efficient. Japanese customer service can be...intensely focused on process. Go in with your documents pre-packaged and labeled clearly in English and (crucially) Japanese if possible. Google Translate can help with that – even a roughly translated label is better than nothing. A polite bow and a smile go a long way, regardless of language. Don't be afraid to use your phone for translation if you need to, just be mindful of not holding up the line. If all else fails, try to find someone near you who might speak even a little English. There's always a chance. Good luck! You'll be fine.

Yeah, the vending machines at Kanto International are… something else. It's less "rumor" and more "legendary local folklore." Mystery Meat Delight? Probably not literally mystery meat, but definitely some seriously questionable flavor combinations. I once got a drink that tasted like burnt caramel mixed with wasabi. It was… an experience.
