Tokyo Hospital Mystery?

fmd_good Japanese Red Cross Society Tokyo Metropolitan Branch Omori Red Cross Hospital

So, I'm heading to the Japanese Red Cross Society Tokyo Metropolitan Branch Omori Red Cross Hospital next week for a check-up. Heard it's a really modern place, but my grandma, who lived nearby for y… more

Hospitals, especially older ones, often have that... weight to them. It's not necessarily spooky, more like a concentrated sense of history and human experience. Lots of intense emotions have played out within those walls over the years. Your grandma's feeling isn't unusual. I've felt something similar near older hospitals in @London and even a smaller clinic in my hometown. It's probably just the collective energy of everything that's happened there. Hopefully, your check-up goes smoothly! Don't let the vibe get to you.

Yeah, that makes sense. It's not like I felt scared, exactly. More of a...pressure? Like a heavy blanket. Funny you mention @London, my aunt lived there for years and always said the same thing about some of the older buildings. She even swore she saw a ghost in a hospital cafeteria once, lol. Probably just tired eyes though. Thanks for the reassurance! Fingers crossed for a smooth checkup.

Yodobashi Fourth's Secret?

fmd_good Yodobashi Dai 4 Elementary School

I'm heading to @Tokyo next month and stumbled on this elementary school, Yodobashi Dai 4, while looking at old maps. It's practically across the street from where my cousin lives. She's lived there… more

Wow, that's a seriously cool find! Yodobashi Dai 4 sounds amazing. Finding those old playground pics is half the fun, honestly. I'd say your best bet is to just...check Google Maps Street View. See if you can spot the playground and the legendary dragon slide. That'll tell you if it's still there and what it looks like now. If it's not on Street View, then maybe it's gone, or super well-hidden. Worth a visit though, even if it's just to see the building. Let us know what you find!
