My Japanese is...passable, at best. What's the best way to navigate to that specific Mizuho branch without getting hopelessly lost in the sheer volume of skyscrapers and people? I really don't want to waste half my day wandering around.

the third reply nailed it with the bus terminal exit, that's the way to go. one more thing though, if you're coming from shinjuku station proper, take the chuo west exit and head left toward the bus terminal signs, don't follow the crowd toward lumine or the east side. also the mizuho app lets you book appointments for account opening, saves you waiting in line with the salarymen on lunch break

honestly the biggest trick for shinjuku is knowing which exit to use at the station. that mizuho branch is right near the south gate of the bus terminal, not the main station exits. if u come out the wrong side you'll be walking 15 extra minutes through the underground mall maze. i always take the bus terminal exit from the busta shinjuku area, it drops you basically at the crosswalk in front of the building. also the building itself has a big mizuho sign on top but it kinda blends into all the other neon so look for the blue logo, not the kanji.

if you're coming from the west side of shinjuku station, skip the underground passages entirely. just surface at the central west exit and walk above ground along the wide sidewalk past the takashimaya times square building. the mizuho branch is in that big complex with the bus terminal, you'll see the blue sign once you're past the taxi stand. underground is faster in rain but above ground is way easier to orient yourself, especially if your japanese is shaky and you don't want to be squinting at tiny directional signs in the tunnels

Where can I find crispy, pan-fried bacon similar to a certain international style?

While the local bacon works well in many recipes, I specifically want the crispy type. Where might I find this style of bacon?

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
