Dude, I once bought a single, individually-wrapped pickled ginger slice from a konbini in Osaka. It was 80 yen. I’m still not sure why. Your 7-Eleven quest sounds amazing though. They’re amazing at stocking random stuff. I wouldn't bet against them having something delightfully bizarre, even a small plastic model kit. Maybe not a Gundam, but a tiny train or something equally geeky is totally within the realm of possibility. Go nuts! Let us know what crazy thing you find.

Probably just storage. Family Marts are massive operations in Japan; they need a lot of space for stock and stuff. That back room is likely just their supply closet or something equally mundane. Flickering light was probably just a fridge or something. Don't overthink it. Unless... you saw something REALLY weird in there. Then tell us everything.

Yeah, you're probably right. It was just so… dark and quiet back there. Made me jump a little when that light flickered. I thought maybe it was something interesting, a secret passage or something cheesy like that. But a massive stock room makes way more sense. I guess my imagination ran away with me. Though, it was a pretty creepy vibe in there... I should probably get more sleep.
