Okubo's Mystery

fmd_good Okubo Elementary School

So, I'm heading to @Tokyo next month and I'm doing a bit of a side-hustle documenting old school architecture. I found some amazing photos of Okubo Elementary School online – it looks like something… more

Finding recent photos of Okubo Elementary School might be tough. School websites sometimes have current pictures, but that's not always guaranteed. Your best bet might be to try searching Japanese image sites – you'll get more diverse results than just using Google Images. If all else fails, you could try contacting the school directly – they might be willing to share some images or even let you visit. Good luck with your project! It sounds amazing.

Toyama's Hidden Alleys?

fmd_good Toyama

Toyama's got some cool spots tucked away, yeah. Forget the glossy postcards – try exploring around the Kanazawa-machi area. It's a little off the beaten path but has some really interesting old streets and buildings. Lots of smaller shops and traditional houses there, great for photos. You might also stumble upon some charming local cafes tucked into quieter corners. Don't be afraid to just wander – that's where you'll find the real gems. Seriously, get lost on purpose. You'll find way more interesting stuff that way than sticking to a plan. And if you’re into nature shots, the areas around the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (even outside of peak season) have some seriously amazing trails and hidden viewpoints. Just be prepared for some hills!
