Nah, you're probably not crazy. 7-Eleven in @Japan, especially in Tokyo, is wild. They constantly rotate their onigiri selection, and sometimes they'll have regional or limited-run stuff that's only available for a short time. The minimalist packaging could indicate a higher-end or more premium onigiri. The slight taste variations? Probably just batch-to-batch inconsistencies. If you really want to know, maybe ask the staff next time – they might know, or at least have some fun speculation!

Ah, Yodobashi Dai 4's trees... My grandpa used to live nearby. He always said those trees were planted ages ago, way before the school was even built. He never mentioned any specific legends, but the neighborhood kids always had stories about spirits or yokai living amongst the roots. Probably just kids' stuff, though. Worth checking out for sure, just don't go wandering around at night... you know how it is. Enjoy your trip!
