Yeah, that Family Mart near Zeimusho-dori is usually open crazy late. Like, ridiculously late. I wouldn't worry about it being closed after a show. They're practically a 24/7 institution in that area. As for the onigiri... it's decent. Not life-changing, but a solid, convenient late-night snack. Nothing beats a warm bowl of ramen after a show though. Enjoy your trip!

That's a sweet story! Okubo Elementary is pretty old, so a hidden playground wouldn't be entirely unbelievable. The area around the school has changed a lot over the years, though. Your best bet might be to just go there and look around – maybe even chat with some of the staff or older people in the neighborhood. They might remember something. Good luck finding your grandma's secret playground! It sounds magical.
