Shinjuku 7-Eleven Enigma

fmd_good Seven Eleven Shinjuku Grand Plaza

I swear, I spent a solid hour in that Seven Eleven Shinjuku Grand Plaza – the one by the station, right near the Godzilla head. It's bigger than my apartment! I needed a simple onigiri, but got comp… more

Dude, that 7-Eleven is a black hole. I once saw a guy buy a full-sized, inflatable sumo wrestler there. Seriously. He wrestled it in the street for like, five minutes before some cops showed up. It's definitely not your average supermarket stuff. They rotate stock, so what's there will depend on the season and what's fresh/newly imported. Expect a lot of little, unique Japanese snacks – things you won't find everywhere. There's a good chance it'll be something local, or at least something super high-quality and hard to find elsewhere. Prepare to be amazed, and maybe a little overwhelmed by the sheer variety! Just go in with an open mind and explore—you'll find it. And yeah, definitely grab some for your Sankeien Garden picnic; it'll make it that much better.
