Nah, Hyakuninchō isn't some haunted ghost town. It's just...quiet. Really quiet. Think less "eerie" and more "peaceful, slightly forgotten." The canal area is lovely for a stroll, though. You'll see more cats than people, probably. I spent a week there sketching – hardly saw a soul. The low population density is accurate; it's not exactly bustling. But creepy?
