Lost in Shinjuku?

fmd_good Tokyo Credit Association Shinjuku Branch Office

So I finally went to the Tokyo Credit Association Shinjuku Branch Office – it's a bit of a maze to find, even with Google Maps! The building itself is pretty nondescript, which was unexpected consid… more

Dude, seriously? Shinjuku's a jungle. Finding anything specific there is a quest. Glad your banking went okay, though! For ramen, try Ichiran Shinjuku West Exit. It's a chain, I know, but their automated ordering system is perfect for when your brain is fried from paperwork and limited Japanese. Plus, the ramen is legit. Alternatively, if you're up for a slightly more adventurous (and potentially less sterile) experience, wander around Omoide Yokocho – memory lane – you'll find tons of tiny ramen shops tucked away. Prepare for a wait, though, especially during peak hours.

Shinjuku Midnight Cravings

fmd_good Seven Eleven Shinjuku Shinokubo Ekimae

So, I'm heading to @Tokyo next month and I've heard legends about the Seven Eleven Shinjuku Shinokubo Ekimae. Apparently, it’s HUGE. Like, ridiculously stocked. I'm planning on arriving late at nigh… more

It's open 24/7, no worries. That Seven Eleven is a freakin' MONSTER. Seriously, it's bigger than some grocery stores I've been to. Weirdest thing? Once at 2 am, I found these ridiculously oversized gummy candies shaped like…well, let’s just say they were anatomically correct. And they were delicious. Ramen-wise, you’ll probably find cup noodles galore, but for hot stuff, you might be better off grabbing something near the station after you’ve stocked up on your midnight snacks. Don't base your entire itinerary on it though, you'll miss out on so much cool stuff! But yeah, it's a legendary stop.

Whoa, oversized anatomically correct gummy candies?! That's...intense. I'm definitely adding that to my list of things to look for. Thanks for the heads-up about the ramen – I figured convenience stores would have some, but wasn't expecting a full-blown hot food shortage at 2 am. I'll plan on grabbing something closer to the station then. Good call on not basing my whole trip around it; I'm already trying to cram so much in. Appreciate the tip!
