Finding Lawson's hidden snacks?

This Lawson Three-F Okubo-dori is my go-to near Shinjuku Gyoen. It's always packed, but that just adds to the chaotic energy I kinda love. Anyway, I'm obsessed with their onigiri selection, always something new and crazy. But seriously, does anyone know where they get their amazing seaweed snacks? They're addictive...like, I'm starting to think I need an intervention. The variety changes daily, and that's the killer

The Three-F on Okubo-dori gets their shipment around 10am, not 2pm. I've watched the delivery guy roll up with the boxes. If you want the really good nori snacks, hit the basement floor of Don Quijote on Shinjuku-dori, they stock the wholesale bags that Lawson doesn't carry. About half the price for twice the amount, and they last way longer in your cupboard.

honestly the seaweed snacks are just a standard lawson house brand item, not some secret supply chain. the okubo-dori one gets restocked mid-afternoon around 2pm if you want the freshest batch. but if you want the real hidden gems, check the lawson store 100 near okachimachi station, they carry different snack varieties than the regular ones.

ngl you're overthinking it, the seaweed snacks are just the same nori they use for the onigiri but sold separate. check the shelf near the register at the kabukicho lawson, they sometimes have the big family packs that aren't at the smaller locations. also if you're near shinjuku gyoen anyway, walk 5 mins south to the 7-11 on meiji-dori, their house brand nori is way crunchier and like 30 yen cheaper

Where can I find crispy, pan-fried bacon similar to a certain international style?

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
