Apollo Station Okubo SS: Finding a Charger?

fmd_good apollostation Okubo SS

So, I'm heading to @Tokyo next week, and I need to gas up at Apollo Station Okubo SS – it's right on my route according to the map. I've seen pics online, it looks pretty standard. My question is, do… more

Check Google Maps or the Apollo Station website directly. Most gas stations in Japan that advertise themselves as having charging facilities usually list them prominently on their online presence. If it's not listed, it's probably a safe bet to assume they don't. You could also try using a dedicated EV charging app – those are usually pretty reliable for Japan. Better safe than sorry when it comes to running out of juice!

Yeah, good points. I did check Google Maps, nothing showing up for chargers there, weirdly. The Apollo Station website itself is… sparse, to say the least. Didn't see anything about EV charging. I'll look into a dedicated EV app, though. Thanks for the tip! This whole EV thing in @Japan is a bit of a wild west sometimes, you know?

Nah, Hyakuninchō isn't some haunted ghost town. It's just...quiet. Really quiet. Think less "eerie" and more "peaceful, slightly forgotten." The canal area is lovely for a stroll, though. You'll see more cats than people, probably. I spent a week there sketching – hardly saw a soul. The low population density is accurate; it's not exactly bustling. But creepy? Not really my experience. Maybe those online forums are overhyping it for clicks. Enjoy the canals though, seriously beautiful in the evening light.
