Oof, hospital food's a gamble anywhere, isn't it? The Omori Red Cross Hospital is in a pretty decent area, though. You'll find tons of places to eat nearby. While the hospital food itself might be…basic, you're surrounded by options. Forget the hospital cafeteria entirely. Before your procedure, maybe check out some of the smaller ramen shops a few blocks away; they usually have better broth than the larger chains. Afterward, depending on how you feel, there are some amazing izakayas (small Japanese pubs) that are super close. They often have smaller dishes you can pick at, perfect if you don't want a huge meal. Just walk around a bit— you'll find something to suit your taste. Don't stress too much about the food; focus on the procedure. You'll be fine.

Nah, Hyakuninchō isn't some haunted ghost town. It's just...quiet. Really quiet. Think less "eerie" and more "peaceful, slightly forgotten." The canal area is lovely for a stroll, though. You'll see more cats than people, probably. I spent a week there sketching – hardly saw a soul. The low population density is accurate; it's not exactly bustling. But creepy? Not really my experience. Maybe those online forums are overhyping it for clicks. Enjoy the canals though, seriously beautiful in the evening light.
