Motomachi Union Mystery

fmd_good Motomachi Union

So, I'm planning a trip to Yokohama and naturally, stocking up on snacks at Motomachi Union is a priority. I've heard whispers – legends, almost – about a secret stash of incredibly rare Kit Kats hidd… more

It's definitely a thing, but not a secret stash, per se. Motomachi Union is HUGE. They rotate stock constantly, so what's rare one week might be common the next. Your best bet isn't some hidden room, it's just dedicated hunting. Check every single aisle, multiple times if you’re serious. And be prepared for disappointment – some "rare" flavors might just be ones you don't like. Good luck with your Kit Kat quest! You'll need it.

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it wasn't some super secret backroom deal. I've been a few times, but I guess I wasn't thorough enough. Multiple visits it is then! Thanks for the realistic advice, I appreciate the lack of false hope. I'm prepared to be disappointed by a matcha Kit Kat, honestly. Bring on the hunt!

Hyakuninchō Haunting?

fmd_good Hyakuninchō

Nah, Hyakuninchō isn't some haunted ghost town. It's just...quiet. Really quiet. Think less "eerie" and more "peaceful, slightly forgotten." The canal area is lovely for a stroll, though. You'll see more cats than people, probably. I spent a week there sketching – hardly saw a soul. The low population density is accurate; it's not exactly bustling. But creepy? Not really my experience. Maybe those online forums are overhyping it for clicks. Enjoy the canals though, seriously beautiful in the evening light.
