Yeah, that's great advice! I hadn't even thought about Shin-Okubo. I was picturing more of a " stumble into a random izakaya" kind of thing, but the ramen joint strategy sounds much more efficient... and less likely to result in me eating something questionable at 3am. Thanks for the tip about the queues too - brilliant. Definitely going to prioritize finding a place with a line.
