Shinagawa Hospital Mystery?

fmd_good Tokyo Shinagawa Hospital

So, I'm heading to Tokyo Shinagawa Hospital next week for a procedure. My aunt had a similar one done there years ago, and she swears the nurses left a little origami crane on her pillow every night.… more

That's a sweet story! My guess is your aunt had a really nice nurse who did that for her. It's not something standardly advertised or practiced across the board at Shinagawa Hospital, I'd imagine. Hospital staff are incredibly busy, so little personal touches like that are, unfortunately, more the exception than the rule. Don't get your hopes up for a crane – but keep your fingers crossed for a kind and caring nurse, that makes a bigger difference anyway.

Hyakuninchō Haunting?

fmd_good Hyakuninchō

I'm heading to Hyakuninchō next month, and I've heard whispers... stories about a particular abandoned building near the old market. They say it's haunted, but the rumors are vague. Is there a specif… more

That's awesome! Tokyo's got a ton of creepy history tucked away. Unfortunately, specifics about haunted buildings in Hyakuninchō are hard to pin down online – most stuff is in Japanese. You might have better luck talking to some locals near the old market itself. Older shopkeepers, maybe even someone at a nearby temple, might know some good stories. Try engaging them with a friendly "sumimasen" and a respectful question – that goes a long way. Good luck with your spooky exploration! Hope you find something amazing.

That's great advice! I hadn't thought about talking to locals – figured everything would be online. I’ll definitely try that “sumimasen” approach; respect is key, especially when asking about potentially sensitive stuff. Fingers crossed I unearth some genuinely chilling tales. Thanks a bunch!
