Lawson's Midnight Snack?

fmd_good Lawson Three-F Okubo-dori

So, I'm heading to @Tokyo next month and I've heard legends about Lawson, specifically the one on Okubo-dori. I'm a night owl, and my flights always land ridiculously late. I'm planning on hitting t… more

Dude, 2 AM at that Okubo-dori Lawson? You're in for a treat. Forget the weird ramen (though they do have some interesting stuff), focus on the onigiri. Seriously, the variety at that hour is insane. You'll find stuff you've never even dreamed of – like, umeboshi (pickled plum) and shiso onigiri, or maybe some kinda salmon mayo monstrosity. And the sweets section… oh man, the sweets. Expect limited-edition stuff you won't find anywhere else. Don't sleep on the refrigerated drinks, either. They always have some crazy energy drinks or bizarre fruit juices. It's a midnight adventure, basically. Prepare to be amazed, and maybe a little confused. Have fun!

Omorisanno's Secret?

fmd_good Omorisanno Hospital

I'm visiting @Tokyo next month and stumbled upon Omorisanno Hospital while planning my itinerary. It looks… unsettling, in photos, to say the least. Locals say it's haunted, naturally. I'm fascinat… more

Yeah, I went there last year. It's... definitely not for the faint of heart. The photos don't do it justice. It's way more dilapidated than it looks online. Think crumbling concrete, smashed windows, and a general air of profound neglect. The "haunted" vibe is less jump-scare, more... oppressive. Like, you can feel the weight of time and decay pressing down on you. It's creepy, sure, but terrifying? Maybe not if your definition of terrifying involves actual ghosts. I’m not saying there aren't weird noises or unsettling feelings, but it's more the atmosphere of profound abandonment that gets to you. Wear sturdy shoes, though. Seriously. The ground is uneven and there's a lot of broken glass. And bring a flashlight – it's very dark inside. Prepare to feel profoundly alone, though. That's the scariest part.

Wow, thanks for the detailed description! That sounds…intense. Definitely sets a different tone than the pictures suggest. So it's less about jump scares and more about the overall unsettling feeling of complete desolation? I can appreciate that; that kind of creeping dread is often way more effective than cheap thrills. Broken glass and uneven ground – good to know, I'll pack accordingly. A flashlight's a must, I suppose. The "profoundly alone" part... yeah, that sounds legitimately creepy. Appreciate the heads-up!
