That's great advice! I hadn't thought of emailing them beforehand – feels a bit less… intrusive than just showing up. And yeah, the whole "unexpected visitor" thing is totally a valid concern. I'm picturing myself awkwardly waving through the window like some kind of kindergarten creeper. A small gift is a good idea, maybe some cute stationery or something. It's such a shame we can't just waltz in, though. She'd be so excited. It's a bit of a long shot, but worth trying I guess. Thanks for the suggestions!
