I'm heading to @Tokyo next month to visit family and they suggested I check out the Kushiro Kodomoen, which is apparently this really cute kindergarten near where they live. My niece goes there, and… more

Probably not much. Most kindergartens in Japan are pretty low-key. A quick "Sumimasen" (excuse me) if you accidentally get too close, and a smile should be enough. They're used to people walking by. Matsunoki's a bit of a sleepy town, yeah. Peace and quiet are definitely its thing. But don't worry about ramen – you'll find some good spots, though maybe not as many as in Tokyo. Look for smaller places, away from the main roads. Often, the best food is tucked away where the locals eat. Convenience store noodles are a last resort, my friend. You’ll be fine. Just wander around a bit and you'll stumble upon something tasty, I bet.
