That's awesome, thanks! Shinjuku-sanchome sounds perfect – I'm really hoping to avoid the super touristy stuff. Yakitori sounds amazing, too. I appreciate the tip about wandering around; I'm totally down for some happy accidental discoveries. Fingers crossed for some live music, but a chill atmosphere is totally fine.
