Yodobashi Dai 4's Secret?

fmd_good Yodobashi Dai 4 Elementary School

I'm heading to @Tokyo next month and stumbled upon this school while planning my route. It's tucked away, almost hidden, and the online photos show a surprisingly well-maintained playground. My quest… more

Honestly, I've lived near Yodobashi Dai 4 my whole life and I've never even noticed a playground. My kids went to a different school. Maybe it's a really recent addition? Or maybe it's just so well-hidden it's become legendary... like that one vending machine that supposedly dispenses rare Pokemon cards. (Don't ask, I've never found it either). As for unique games or traditions... nah, Tokyo school kids are pretty much the same everywhere, obsessed with their phones and anime. Secret hideouts? Probably. Legendary climbing tree? Doubt it. But hey, if you find the mythical Pokemon vending machine before the playground's secret, let me know!

Hanazono Shrine's Secret?

fmd_good Hanazono Shrine

I spent a week in Tokyo, mostly lost in the sensory overload of Shibuya and Shinjuku. But I finally made it to Hanazono Shrine, tucked away near the Imperial Palace. The peace was incredible

Yeah, Hanazono Shrine is a total vibe. So peaceful compared to the craziness everywhere else. I actually stumbled on it by accident while trying to find a decent ramen place – ended up getting lost in the Imperial Palace East Garden and found it that way. The quiet was a really welcome change of pace. It's almost like another world.
