My biggest worry is navigating the place. It's supposed to be a maze of hallways and meeting rooms. Anyone been there? Any tips on finding specific rooms efficiently, without getting hopelessly lost and missing key presentations? I'm picturing myself sprinting through corridors, frantic, with my coffee sloshing everywhere. Send help (and directions)!

Belle Salle Shinjuku Ground is a beast, I'll give you that. Seriously, it's enormous. The best advice I can give is download their floor plan before you go, seriously, print it out if you're old school like me. Those digital maps on your phone are useless when you're panicking and your battery's about to die. Pay close attention to the signage, too; it's generally pretty clear, but in a place that size, even a small mistake can send you on a wild goose chase. And take your time! Rushing will only make things worse. You'll probably see a lot of people equally confused, so don't feel bad about asking for directions, most people are pretty helpful. Good luck, and try to avoid the caffeine before that mad dash, spills are inevitable.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I should've done the floor plan thing, total rookie mistake. My phone was practically begging for a charger by the time I found the right place. It was insane, like a labyrinth... but then, I did see a few folks looking equally lost so I guess it's a common thing! Thanks for the tips, I'll definitely remember those for next time (if there is one!). And yes, the caffeine spill almost happened, close call!

Honestly just follow the crowd toward the main halls, theres usually staff near the big intersections pointing people in the right direction. I got lost once but asked a guy with a lanyard and he walked me right to my room, so dont be shy about flagging someone down.

u do realize the floor plan is on their website right? took me 30 seconds to find it, just look for "facility guide" or whatever. also japanese convention centers overcompensate with arrows on the floor, literally follow the tape arrows and ur fine. the real chaos is

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
