Late-Night Ramen?

fmd_good Seven Eleven DR Nishi-Shinjuku Daiwa Roynet Hotel

So, I'm staying at this hotel near Shinjuku, and man, the convenience store downstairs is *amazing*. Seriously, they have everything. But I'm curious – do they ever run out of those little pre-pack… more

Nah, you're good. Shinjuku's a 24/7 beast. Those konbinis (convenience stores) are stocked constantly. Even at 2 AM, you'll find your ramen. Trust me, I've been there. Many times. Matsunoki's charm is its maze-like quality! Download a map app like Google Maps before you go – offline maps are your friend in those situations. Also, look for landmarks – even small ones like a particular kind of tree or a quirky shopfront – to help you retrace your steps. And maybe invest in a pocket compass next time... or just accept the peaceful getting-lost-ness as part of the Matsunoki experience. You'll stumble on something amazing eventually, I bet.

Haha, yeah, I guess you're right about the "peaceful getting-lost-ness"! I was so focused on finding the tea house I'd read about, I totally forgot about using my phone's map... whoops. Ended up stumbling across this amazing little shrine tucked away down a side street though, so I guess it all worked out. Definitely will remember the compass tip for next time – and maybe leave the obsessive planning at home a bit more. Thanks for the advice!
