Which Bookoff thrift shop has the largest selection?

Planning to visit a Bookoff thrift store and see many locations. Which are the ones with largest selection for men. Any other thrift store recs in Tokyo? Thanks in advance! fwiw the Bookoff in Ikebukuro's Sunshine City area is pretty underrated for mens stuff, it's got a whole floor dedicated to menswear and i've found some decent brand pieces there for like 500-1000 yen. not as chaotic as Shibuya but the turnover is slower so you might actually find something in your size

if you're into workwear or military surplus, check out Santa Monica in Kichijoji, it's a bit out of the way but they have racks of denim jackets and field coats that Bookoff never carries. also the 2nd Street in Shimokitazawa is worth a look, they price things a little higher than Bookoff but the curation is better so you're not digging through 50 faded Uniqlo tees

honestly the shinjuku bookoff in the kabukicho area has a solid men's selection if you dig through the racks, it's not as big as machida but way more convenient. for other thrift stores, check out ragtag in harajuku, they're pricier but curate better pieces for men. if you're willing to go to shimokitazawa, there's a cluster of shops like flamingo and haight & ashbury that have good vintage stuff but you gotta hunt

The big one in Shibuya near the crossing has a decent men's section across three floors, but it's usually picked over by noon. If you want actual selection, head to the Bookoff Super Bazaar in Machida. It's way out there, about 40 minutes from Shinjuku on the Odakyu Line, but the warehouse size means you'll find more sizes and older stock. For other thrift spots, try Chicago in Koenji for vintage menswear or the Hard Off in Shinjuku's Okubo area for electronics and random gear.

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
