Anywhere I can try CDG play tops on before buying?

Seems like the direct brand shops are no try ons, no returns or exchanges. Any place I can try things on first for size? Seems like the direct brand shops are no try ons, no returns or exchanges. Any place I can try things on first for size?

yeah Isetan Men's is solid but if you want a more chill experience try Dover Street Market Ginza. they have a whole CDG corner with play stuff and the staff is super low key, you can just grab stuff and head to the fitting room without anyone hovering. prices are retail though, same as the brand shops

if you're open to used, Ragtag in Shimokitazawa usually has a rack of play tops and you can try them on no problem. the one near the station has a decent turnover so sizes vary but I've scored a clean heart logo tee for like 8k yen there. just check the neckline for stretching, those cotton tees get baggy fast

honestly just hit up Isetan Men's in Shinjuku, they've got a decent selection of CDG play stuff and the fitting rooms are actually usable. the staff there is used to tourists trying things on so no weird looks or pressure. if you're near Shibuya, Parco also carries some but their stock is more hit or miss imo

also worth checking secondhand spots like Rinkan or 2nd Street in Shimokitazawa, I've found play tops there for half the price and you can obv try them on. just check the tag for armpit stains or pilling before buying

not sure about specific stores but honestly the CDG play sizing is pretty consistent across everything, if u can try on a random heart logo tee at any multi-brand shop you'll know ur size for all their tops. the fit is basically the same for hoodies vs tees vs long sleeves so one try-on is all u really need

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
